Webos CLI

Webos systems provide a CLI (ares) allows to communicate with Webos devices. The CLI must be installed on the PC where the dana app is served.

Install ares with node:

npm i -g @webos-tools/cli

Or follow this guide: Webos CLI installation.

Then setup ares to use tv mode:

ares-config --profile tv

Caution

Minimal ares version supported by Dana is 1.12.4.
Check your version with the command ares -V

In order to deploy and debug Dana apps on LG Smart TVs, Developer mode must be turned on and both device and PC should be on the same network.
